演讲:增强现实的未来方向/Future Directions for Augmented Reality

Augmented Reality (AR) was first developed in the 1960's, but it was not until 10 years ago that the technology began to become mainstream. Today, anyone with a mobile phone can have an AR experience and many manufacturers are bringing AR capable head-mounted displays to market. This presentation provides a brief review of this past history and then describes where the technology may be headed in the near future. A number of research technologies that will also become mainstream will be described, as well as important directions for future research. Examples will be shown from some of the leading AR research groups worldwide.
